When choosing a professional aviation program, Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI) should play an important role in your decision making. AABI is the only professional, specialized accrediting organization approved by the Council on Higher Education (CHEA) to accredit aviation professional programs at universities in the U.S.A. and throughout the world. The goals of AABI are to stimulate collegiate aviation program excellence and self-improvement; establish uniform minimum educational quality standards; and increase the credibility, integrity, and acceptance of collegiate aviation programs within institutions of higher education and all aspects of the aviation community, to include industry, government, and the public-at-large.
With over 100 universities and colleges that offer aviation programs in the nation, only 37 have earned AABI accreditation. Delta State University is proudly among those selected schools. AABI reaffirmed our accreditation in the BCA Aviation Management and BCA Flight Operations degree programs as of February 2020. AABI accreditation standards apply to every aspect of our programs, from faculty quality, teaching resources and technology, facilities, academic and flight training syllabuses, connections with the industry and community, and services for students.
With the participation of educators, industry, and government organizations, AABI is a true evaluator of the quality of scholastic aviation programs. Members of AABI are educators, employers, practitioners, regulators, and aviation advocates. These are the people who hire aspiring aviation professionals. Delta State University is committed to teaching and preparing our students to be highly sought-after professional aviation career-minded individuals.
Delta State University Commercial Aviation has proudly earned our AABI accreditation and know the value of this endorsement for you. It means the highest standards for admission, relevant and current knowledge in your classes, faculty who are top industry experts, and access to career and professional opportunities that universities and colleges who are not AABI Accredited may not be able to give you.
